Flirty Florals

It is finally feeling like summer so whats better than to whip out a whole lot of floral! When I saw this dress in Miss Selfridge I automatically fell in love with it, and I dressed it up making it perfect for a summer night alongside my Summer Glam Make up Look.
 I am wearing:
Dress- Miss Selfridge
Nude Sandals - Newlook
Sunglasses- Primark
Fake Tattoos - ASOS
Jewellery - Pandora & F.Hinds

I loved how the dress had cutouts in the side which adds a little bit more detail to the dress, along with the pops of pink which really stand out, whilst the sandals have a 1 12  inch wedge heel making sure the outfit isn't too dressed up and I can actually walk! They were also a bargain at under £20. Adding a boho edge to the look I used fake tattoos giving a summer festival vibe whilst sticking to the floral theme with the jewellery. However the style steal of this post has to be these rose gold sunglasses at just £2 which I love!

Summer Glam Make-up Look!

Summer is nearly officially here and I can tell you now I am buzzing! No more exams so be expecting a blogpost every Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday, So to kick start summer I thought I would share the glam look I have been going for every time I go out, especially with my upcoming birthday meal I just know its gonna be a fave!

So to begin my Summer Glam Makeup I applied The Body Shop Tea Tree Pore Minimiser all over my face because no one wants to experience makeup falling off there face and this is also perfect to remove prevent more blemishes from makeup. I then used one pump of the Rimmel Lasting Finish Foundation as it is so lightweight but gives ah-mazing coverage but to make my face brighter I used the Maybelline Age Rewind Concealer on all areas light hits and under my eyes which is a complete holy grail product! I then used a small dusting of Rimmel Stay Matte Powder all over my face to set it all in place.

Moving onto contour I used the Seventeen Define and Conquer which is a great dupe for the Nars Contour and Highlight duo, I wrote a review on it here. I used the contour shade in all the usual places then the matte highlight around my eyes before moving onto blush where I used the Soap & Glory  Love at First Blush which is gorgeous and really emphasises my cheek bones. As this look was for going out I decided to apply the Make-up Revolution Highlighter which is so pigmented so only a tiny bit is needed.

Moving onto eyes I used the Stila eyeshadow in Puppy which is an amazing transition shade before moving onto the Maybelline Nudes Palette which may be my favourite drugstore palette then used the matte brown shadows in the crease starting with the lightest to the darkest building up the definition. Then to finish of the eyeshadow I used a gold pigment on the inner corner and beneath my eye which I have been loving recently as it really opens up the eye. I then used Soap and Glory Supercat Liner and Lancome Hypnose Mascara before filling in my eyebrows.

To complete the look I used MAC Girl About Town Lipstick which is my absolute fave summer lippie.

So thats my Summer Glam Look, hope you like it! and please leave any post suggestions below.

Summer Bucket List

So the weather has begun to brighten up and my exam season will soon be over leading to me being very very excited for Summer, I have teamed up with Eventbrite, a website for event managing which sells free and paid tickets to events and can also help you organise your own event.
So as I absolutely loved their Go Out More Often (GOMO) campaign I thought I would share my summer bucket list. I will also be doing blogpost about all the things I do in Summer after my exams so i hope y'all be looking forward to that!

Theme Parks: I have never been on a rollercoaster, and the thought of them makes me s*** myself however I am determined to go on one but even if I chicken out (very likely) I really want to go to Alton Towers as I love the smaller rides.

Picnics: This might sound really boring to all you festival party go-ers however whats better than sitting in the sun in a field with friends or family!

Go to the Beach: Living inland means I don't get to see the sea a a lot meaning when summer comes hitting the beach is the thing I look forward to most with chips and ice cream plus there's nothing more calming than the sea.

Summer Fayre's: In my local area there are loads of food, craft and summer fayre's which I always love to go to, so this year not breaking the tradition I will have to go again!

Horse Riding: Again this is something I have wanted to do for a very long time, but more specific through a forest or along the coast as I think it would be a lovely experience.

Go on Safari: This is something I have always wanted to do as I love animals and would love to experience being so close to them and although I would dream of going on one in the wild I think this year its going to have to just be a park in the UK.

A New Place: I spend all my life going to the same places so I would love to go somewhere different like a city, I don't know where but I love discovering a new place.

Funfairs- I suppose these are similar to other things i have mentioned however I love it as I feel like an extra in Grease at the end of the film.

Create a Photo Album- Now this isn't GOMO however I really want to record everything I do throughout the Summer as I feel everything is digital, and although I love the internet I feel physical copies are just that little bit more special!

What's on your Summer Bucket List?

Easy Contouring with Affordable Product!

I think I may have found may holy grail contour kit! I know it's a very big statement but when this came through my door from the lovely Seventeen at Boots excited was an understatement!
First of all my initial reaction was how similar it is to the Nars Duo's which sadly I have never been able to commit that much money too, I got mine in the lightest shade and is perfect for my skin tone, I also love the colour not being too orange or cool toned as I find they can go a bit grey on my skin whilst the highlight was a whole new experience as I had never used a matte highlight before but it is great as prep for a shimmer or too be used on a day to day basis when you just aren't feeling walking around like a glitter ball (lets face it, we all love it nevertheless).
They are both highly pigmented, and a more than I expected when I suddenly had a huge amount on my face the first time I used it, so little goes a long way, the highlight on my skin needs less blending as I find it is basically my skin tone however the contour blends seamlessly in.

Now onto how I have been applying it, I have been using the contour shade in a three shape in the hollows of my cheeks, temples, forehead and beneath my chin using the Real Techniques Contour Brush which is another fave! Then if I am going all out, I will get a small fluffy eyeshadow brush and run some beneath my lips- because who doesn't want a Kylie Jenner pout- and the sides of my nose. I then go in with the highlight on a more domed fluffy brush and set my under eyes, tops of cheekbones  bridge of my nose and the centre of my forehead again I will probably skip this if I am not doing a full face, and if you have skin on the drier side could probably use this instead of powder. To finish off I bronze my face with Soap and Glory Solar Powder and highlight with Benefit High Beam, both of which were in my April Favourites.

So thats how I have been contouring recently, and it has been made so much easier with this duo!

April Favourites!

I can't believe April has already come to an end however as always I have collected a whole lot of products to share with you as I went on a recent shopping trip and have been trying out a few new things and I can tell you now grab a cuppa its a long one!

The Body Shop Tea Tree Pore Minimiser- I bought this at the end of March and i knew instantly that it was going to be amazing, it minimises any pores on my cheeks and helps makeup to blend easily, preventing any caking on dry or oily patches. However I wouldn't say it helps keep makeup on that much longer but I rarely need this on a daily basis.

Maybelline Age Rewind Concealer- This is probably my most recent purchase, but I had been putting it off due to the claim of anti-ageing and thought it wouldn't really be for me as I am only 16 however  due to the amazing reviews online I went for it and found this is amazing, it covers all dark circles or darker pigments and really makes the skin look and feel more awake, I also use this to brighten any areas of my face like the bridge of my nose. I even tried this on my mom and she loved it too so I think its an amazing all round product whether blurring or brightening any imperfections.

Soap and Glory Solar Powder- I am absolutely obsessed with this, I started off not really liking it when I got it early this year, but I think it was because I was using it as more of a contour rather than bronzer however on a big fluffy brush this gives the perfect glowy tan around the face, I have already hit pan but for some reason the lighter colour has worn out first which is very strange.

Benefit High Beam- As Spring is here and summer is approaching I just had to bring out my all time favourite highlight,  I always seem to go back to this when trying any other highlight but I would definitely get the mini as its so much better for travelling and prevents waste when it dries up a bit. I have been applying this on my cheeks bones, brow bones, bridge of the nose and cupid bow then setting it with a powder highlight if I am doing a full face. I find it lasts all day and gives a wonderful natural glow, I would also advise dabbing this into the skin with your fingers as it warms the product and prevent makeup moving beneath.

Metal Eyelash Curlers- Now lets be real here your probably thinking 'metal eyelash curlers whats so special about metal' but I am telling you now if you currently use plastic ones or even none at all these are a game changer. I had the same pair of eyelash curlers since I started doing makeup properly and they just weren't cutting it (not that I want cut eyelashes ;)) so I bought these from Superdrug and my eyelashes look so much better!

Charles Worthington Volume and Texture Spray- If you have flat or finer hair I am feeling you now just go and get this like right now it is amazing like seriously this is my saviour, I use it virtually everyday adding volume at the roots to straight hair or texture throughout with curls and buns I also find it makes the style hold much better than hair spray alone.

Imperial Leather Fruit Salad Shower Gel- I have been using this shower gel from about early April and oh my gosh I am digging this stuff, its smells so good. I usually don't like sweet smells and you can't really get much sweeter than a sweet but theres something about this I am just obsessed with especially as it has a creamy moisturising feel and its only £1 you just can't go wrong.

High Waisted Jeans- I have been living in high waisted jeans the past month especially light wash blue and have been loving the look of these with a slightly cropped top or tucking in the front of any longer top I just feel like the outfit is perfect for any day and is just super comfortable.

The Hunger Games Mockingjay Part 2 - I don't wan too give any spoilers so I will keep this one short, but I finally managed to watch the last film and instantly wanted to watch the whole series again as I loved it so much. The film is super gripping which I was worried it wouldn't be as part 1 is a bit boring but does give a good background for the second one.

Mary Berry Baking Bible- Finally in the super long favourites is a recipe book, in my spare time I have been loving experimenting with new recipes and I have found this covers everything you could possibly think of but I also find some of the basic recipes work as a great starting point for creating my own random recipes which we all know I love to do from my chewy fudge cookies (link here), baking is also a great way for me to relax.

What have your favourites been this month?
