Christmas Lookbook!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas... I took advantage of the beautiful snow that covered the UK to take some very festive photo's of my go-to outfits this December with a couple of casual that I will wear day to day, smart for work and dressy as we all know its time to party!

Outfit 1 I paired a leather skirt with a cosy green jumper, black coat and of course, a pair of Chelsea boots as these are my winter staples. I loved the mix of textures in this outfit whilst the green hinted to the festive period without screaming cheesy Christmas.

For the second outfit (and the only one I didn't freeze in) I wore a simple pair of high waisted super skinny New Look Jeans with a reindeer Christmas jumper from Primark then layering up with my favourite winter item in my wardrobe which is a shearling coat from Then matching the grey with the jumper a cute little bobble hat.

Keeping to the Christmas jumper theme, I paired another Primark jumper - this time with a Robin - with jeans, Chelsea boots and grey scarf. However, I probably wouldn't say the Santa's hat is appropriate for all occasions ;-)

Onto the dressier options, I wore a red velvet dress with 3/4 sleeves, black over the knee boots and the same coat as in Outfit 1 which has removable fur on the collar.

Last but not least my favourite outfit option is this black and gold dress with seemingly simple black court shoe heels however the heel is gold which I LOVE! I again wore a simple black coat which has become my winter staple as it can be thrown over anything and everything!

What are you wearing this season?

A Very Snowy Day!

For the first time in many years, a thick blanket of snow covered the city I live in and I don't think I have ever seen it so deep in my entire life.

My work got cancelled - like most things as the UK seems to not be able to cope with any snowy circumstances - so I braved the freezing cold all wrapped up for a lovely peaceful walk. The snow was virtually untouched looking beautiful so I couldn't resist taking some photographs. The walk also was the perfect thing to clear my mind, to appreciate life, nature and its natural beauty.

It really looked magical with all I can describe it as; is being like Narnia.

Did you get snow? Did you embrace it or hate it?

Hogwarts In The Snow!

Yesterday was quite possibly the most magical day of my life. With excited definitely being an understatement. I received tickets to go for my birthday back in June but I knew I wanted to experience it in winter so after 6 months of waiting I finally got to see the most spectacular and magical thing. Before going I didn't look at any pictures on social media and wouldn't listen to anyone who said what was there as I wanted it to be a complete surprise which it most definitely was.

(So I wouldn't recommend looking at these pictures if you want the same effect!)

It began with walking around the Great Hall, Gryffindor's common room and all of the magical special effects before flying a broomstick over the streets, rivers and Hogwarts itself via a green screen - photographs are available at every stop of course - then came Dumbledores study, Hagrid's hut and even more smaller items are shown such as the Golden Snitch, wands and Horcrux's. The amount of effort that goes into a tiny object is incredible.

The forbidden forest (the newest feature of the tour) was like the rest... Amazing! With giant trees, smoke and a couple of surprises along the way. Then came one of the things I looked forward to the most! The Hogwarts express! After pushing my trolley through to platform 93/4 I grabbed a few photos and boarded the train to see how it evolved over the films. A quick stop at the railway shop for merchandise and then came to the cafe for a bite to eat and maybe even a butterbeer if you fancy!

Outside were the bigger sets Privet Drive, the Knight Bus, Hogwarts Bridge and much more to look in awe at. Before the final stops of Diagon Alley and of course Hogwarts itself. As I walked through the doors the castle took my breath away, whilst the snow created even more magic and beauty.

The tour was amazing and if you couldn't tell already I loved every moment and I would definitely recommend going especially if you love the magical world of Harry Potter as much as myself.

Festive Room Tour

Kicking off the festivities on my blog I thought I would share some photographs of the hints to the Christmas period that have graced my bedroom. I haven't gone too over the top this year with just the odd bits of tinsel, fairy lights and my lovely tree which may I say I am very very proud of. I put my decorations up on Sunday and it definitely got me in the spirit and in full Christmas mode!

December Goals!

If you don't regularly read my blog you won't know that I struggle to stay organised or motivated so once again my life has gone into complete chaos with too many things to do and very little time meaning time to enjoy myself has been very limited. So I have decided to plan around 5 goals each month to help me face up to life like a boss. Originally I planned to start this in January as a new year, new start but I can't keep saying I'll do it tomorrow, or next week or next month otherwise nothing will ever happen. The goals are also aren't very specific but that's because I have so much to do but that will change as my organisation increases and a few things I don't want to specify in case I jinx it!

Due to my lack of organisation, I have definitely neglected a lot of the people most important to me so I need to get my act together especially as Christmas quickly approaches

I am constantly trying to strive to achieve the next best thing which does put an awful lot of pressure on me but is also more of a life goal, however, this is my first post about goals so I thought I could include it!

Mindfulness is something I seriously never believed in, but along with a positive attitude, I am definitely seeing the benefits in my mental health which I aim to improve in the coming month.

I already have an idea of what this will be and hopefully, if all goes to plan this should happen and if it does I don't think things could get any better.

A more light-hearted one but one that is equally important. As I said at the start I need to have more time for me by organising myself and Christmas is definitely the time to enjoy myself.

6 Ways To Get In The Halloween Spirit

Halloween has soon become one of my favourite times of year as there's so much to do and a great excuse to get together with friends and family as it appeals to people of any age. So I thought I would share my favourite things to do at this time of year.

1. Carve Pumpkins
Every year I look forward to carving into the biggest pumpkin I can find and making it look terrifying even though mine always ends up looking slightly cuter or cheeky I don't know why! But never the less gets me in the spirit. Plus just the feel of scooping out the squelchy insides is enough to feel gory! (Or is that just me!)

2. Dress Up
Unless your going to a party or fright night this is probably a bit harder as I'm definitely not suggesting dressing up as a vampire or zombie on Halloween and going to do your shopping - unless that's what floats your boat obvs - but I am a massive fan of the t-shirts and jumpers that highstreet stores release with the cute little puns. I got mine from NewLook with a little ghost that says Boooootiful which I thought was proper cute! There are loads available and can easily be styled to suit whatever you may be doing even if it's just a day at college!

3. A Halloween Party
I can't remember the last time I went to a proper Halloween party but I ALWAYS have a little gathering at least where we eat a lot of food, have some gory Halloween sweet treats and watch scary movies. It's a great excuse to get together whilst also celebrating the season.

4. A Scare Night
This is my absolute favourite thing about Halloween! This is when farms or forests create scare mazes where people essentially jump out at you and scare you. One of the most raved about is Tulleys Farm which I would love to go to but is a bit far from where I live but there are some great ones usually close to everyone's local area.

5. Halloween Films
I don't think I have ever had a Halloween without watching Hocus Pocus which is an absolute classic. I'm not a massive fan of horror movies as I find them a bit boring even though I do watch them I much prefer the Halloween related films so you can find something to suit everyone. TV series are also great such as Stranger Things or The Vampire Diaries which never seem to fail me.

6. Halloween Baking
This is my favourite past time so at Halloween its the perfect excuse to make endless ghoulish cakes and biscuits but if you're not a fan of baking you can also get some pretty good already made ones from your local supermarket. Pinterest is a great place to look for ideas.
